What is the best driving game?
There are several ways you can buy a car whether it’s from a retailer or contract hire. Games can be compared in the same way, but games aren't out there to cost people thousands of pounds they are there to be had fun with, so what is the best driving game?
The main one that pops into my head is most certainly not what you would normally expect to see in a driving game. It is certainly not a realistic game at all. It is of course the amazing Mario Kart. Mario Kart really shows just how much fun you can have when playing a game, it doesn't need to be realistic. It is a great game with many karts, bikes and items to choose from. There is nothing I have ever found to be more satisfying on a driving game than to see someone slip on a banana skin or get hit by a giant shell.
Forza 2 is a brilliant driving game on the Xbox 360. The game is great not only in that it is realistic looking, plays well and is online you can also choose every element your car has from the wheels to the paint job. You have to stop and make repairs at the pit stop from the realistic damage you get from the crashes you may suffer. The great thing is that it isn’t just brilliant cars; it ranges from the Golf GT to the Lotus Elise. If you use a wheel with this game then it actually feels like you are driving a car, especially if you have one with the gears as well. If you are going to drive at 100mph round one of the games corners then you will most certainly see the car crash into the barrier or another car.
Another good driving game is one of the Grand Turismo games as they look simply brilliant. They have always been known for their abilty to show realistic gameplay and number five certainly does not steer from this. From the BMW Z4 right the way up to the Ferrari the games graphics represent the cars in their true form.
The same is true in real life. The cars that you can get via this method are affordable. You can get car contracting on pretty much any model nowadays ranging from mini’s right the way to Mercedes contract hire. Some of the prices are under £300 which is an absolute bargain and a great way to beat the downturn.
it's all about comparing, and whilst games have every car anyone could ever dream of, its just too expensive at the moment to buy a brand new car.
